Anthony Lynn Answers Questions After Practice Today

Answers a lot of Bosa questions. You can sort of see it bothers him. But hes not saying anything different than any other coach would say.

Voluntary means voluntary. I don't mind Bosa skipping, especially if he's working with a trainer.

This is the time of the season where they put in the defense and do a lot of individual skill develop. The only other chance they do that is TC. It is a big proportion of the developmental time for a young player to miss. OTA's shouldn't be voluntary. Once the season starts, players pretty much spend all their time rehabbing and getting ready for the next game.

The players association is ruining football. The NFL is doing their fair share too, but that isn't how football became the most popular sport in America. Add into it that college football doesn't develop players for the NFL anymore, it makes it harder and harder to find good players.

Then add in the missed time that helps players connect. Is everyone really going to have the confidence in players who don't come to practices on 3rd and 4th and short situations? Is the guy next to you really putting in the effort? If you see a player at the facility doing everything, all the time, you know. If they aren't there, you just don't know. That unspoken confidence between players doesn't happen by accident.

I am sure Bosa will be in top notch physical condition when he comes into camp. That really isn't the point.

It's my understanding he is skipping working out with the Chargers and not missing OTA's. I believe they are two different activities.

          Shades of David Boston.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Maybe he got his nipples pierced. Other then that I see no comparison to a NFL Rookie of the Year (after only playing in 11 games) and a overpaid WR free agent

OTAs good, workouts meh. He came in after holding out and played better than 99% of the league. Not worried about where he does a push-up.

He seems more at ease on the field talking to reporters than when in the more formal setting after the hire. Hope that foreshadows to more positive with him as a coach.

I think hes really focused on the conditioning part of it. I love when he says things like "We will be the best conditioned team in the league". Not saying they will be but its clearly a huge deal to him and something i have questioned in the past. I really hope this new staff is employing new ways to recover. More yoga and pilates type practices.

Also love seeing all the images painted on the field to represent gaps and defense. All these little details will add up imo. I hope he pays a lot of attention to the details. Like Marty used to.

Bosa skipping OTA's, not a good look.
