The Pads lost today but not after putting together a nice 5 game win streak, and taking 2 out of 3 from the best team in baseball. Only two games from .500 now (although a win today would have pulled them even).

Yeah and they go into Washington where the Nats have been having their own problems. I'd love to see Jankowski to continue to get starts. It seems that his speed really adds a lot to the lineup. Great D, too.

Well. Unless we go on a big winning streak, we are going to finish below .500.

As much as I liked our manager for a bit because it looked like he stopped effing with the lineup on a daily basis, he went right back to flipping the lineup on a daily basis. Then we went right back to losing.

Again - maybe that's just something every manager does now. But, if there is some manager who likes to leave the lineup alone, then let's get that guy for next year.

Oh, and, please, Padres ownership, don't sell out. Keep spending that money.

As of yesterday, we're mathematically eliminated from the post season.

So baseball doesn't matter anymore this year.
