Interesting name I saw was Phil Nevin. Would've loved to see Ausmus before he left to the Tigers.

Dave Roberts is a fine choice and I predict he will shake off the interim tag by the end of the year.

Black clearly underperformed, and predictably so by many fans myself included. Never liked his style. He's a good pitching coach, but as a manager he lacked fire and made many head-scratching moves IMO.

Well, I'm reading that Pat Murphy is on his way to San Diego. Thoughts on him managing the Pads? Very decorated, and very controversial.

I liked Black too. In fact I haven't ever liked a Padres manager more than Buddy Black. He has a great personality. Very likable. But as most of you are saying he isn't winning enough games. So we'll see.
