I don't think he's close to finished ruining the franchise. His siblings should fire him or take out a hit.
He just paid All Star money to upgrade from the worst big man to the 2nd worst. With several very solid options available. But not availablr to us.

That Zubac kid looked good against the other summer leaguers though, and they're playing again in about 20 minutes on ESPN2, so hopefully him and Ingram will look good again.

Watched the Lakers first 2 Summer League games (didn't watch last night's). Thought it would be appropriate for the draft thread.

D'Angelo Russel has played well, but he has work to do. Too many turnovers for a point guard, and he's borderline bad on defense. Although his shooting, scoring, and playmaking are coming along nicely.

Larry Nance Jr. played like a beast both of the first two games. Looks more comfortable (although it is summer league). He's a legit NBA player. Nice to see him spotting up and shooting 3's. (even made a couple)

Brandon Ingram... you can see the tools are there. He played well game one, and not as well the 2nd and 3rd games. He looks like a Popsicle stick out there.

Ivaca Zubac - I'm impressed. The big man isn't flashy, but he plays pretty well around the basket. I'd like to see him rebound better, and be a bit more of a stopper at the rim, but at 19 years old he's definitely a nice looking prospect.

Anthony Brown - he needs to shoot the ball better. 22% from deep for a "3 and D" guy isn't going to cut it. He's a capable defender. But he's limited offensively. He needs to be able to hit an open shot when it's there, and he hasn't shown that. I'm hoping he gets better, but right now he's not at the level he needs to be.

Free Agent to Watch: Zach Auguste - the PF from Notre Dame showed well the first two games. He's not that impressive physically (Nance is bigger) and he's also caught in a numbers game with the Lakers bigs...but he is a willing screener, rebounds the ball well, and really hustles and works out there. He's the kind of guy you like on your team. Not sure if the Lakers would have room for him, but I like him.
