I really hope that once te season starts, some of the pain all you San Diego natives feel will be a little less, and the ability to get behind the players will come back. They kind of get shafted in all of this. They just got uprooted and lost a lot of support that they had no control over.

Get behind the players...? I blindly rooted for whomever wore the lightning bolts for 50 years. Players, coaches come and go. Its not about the players!

San Diegans for the most part are different from the rest of the state. We have always been proud to not be LA, proud to be 'the' southern California city. Proud of our teams thick and thin even though they have yet to deliver us a championship. Dean could have moved to Cleveland and I wouldn't be half as pissed. Dean chose to (1) move from SD and (2) he chose LA of all places. His mistake.

As far as the players go... 2 of my favorites left for other teams and they were dead to me as far as football went. I got over them. Just like w/them, I have no love for anything LA Chargers, and I will again, move on without them.

Never ever (for me) has sport been about any name on the back of the shirt. Its about civic pride for my home team, Its about being loyal, its about being NOT LA.

I had season seats for 25+ years and bought them regardless of who our QB, RB, MLB or our coach was. I bought them to root for my hometown team. Nothing more, nothing less.

I just have to forget about ownership here.... also I just think of them as The Chargers. I can't stand seeing or hearing "Los Angeles" Chargers. I know it's the case but I'll never be able to stomach that
