I haven't been able to watch any games - just reading.

Hedges has a .037 average. I hope that's a fluke or he's really good at catching.

He is a top rated defensive player... he has never been a plus hitter since he has been a pro. He does have a bunch of hard outs. Ive seen most innings this season and he has squared a bunch of balls up, but just isn't finding grass. Luck is a big part of hitting. Hitting it hard, not at people is the key and he is big time failing at the 2nd part.

Yes, but if Hedges is hovering around .100 in a couple of weeks it might be time to shelve the Betancourt experiment and send Hedges back down before he gets buried.

Agree... that is my worry with Renfroe and any other young player. Hitting a baseball is frick'n difficult for most people. Add a young player who 'may' be hitting MLB a season or two too soon and you can ruin them. Confidence is why baseball is the 1% of 1% sport. Development is so so critical; and quite frankly we have done a poor job of it. Drafting someone is 1 phase, teaching them to play the game is another! Donavan Tate comes to mind!
