    KFI 640 AM announced as the network flagship for the Chargers games

    At least they picked a station that is easily heard in San Diego.

    KFI AM 640 is thrilled to announce that we will be the radio home for Chargers games during the 2017 season!

    This will be the first season for the Chargers in Los Angeles in more than fifty years since the team moved to San Diego in 1961. The team will play at the StubHub Center in Carson, using it as a temporary home field until they can join the Rams at a new stadium currently under construction in Inglewood.

    In addition to the great Chargers programming you'll hear on KFIAM640, AM 570 LA Sports will also be a co-branded partner of the LA Chargers and will have local pre-and post-game shows as well.

    The new partnership between KFI and the Chargers begins tomorrow at 5pm at the LA Chargers draft headquarters and official party at Disneyland!

      At least I'll get to listen to them up here in Temecula - not that I am ever in the car during a game, but at least the pre and post game shows will be on.

              I just tuned in to this station and you can hear it in San Diego very good.

              They had no draft coverage on

              An update between commercials mentioned some of the Rams draft move and when their season opener is. WTF? Are we sure this is the chargers station

                It's for games only. I think pregame and postgame coverage will be 570 in LA. Chargers will probably have streaming going as well on their website.

                  Once the season starts, you'll probably hear more references to Chargers during KFI's news and talk formats. Station manager said last week that between 570 and 640, they are planning a 10-hour broadcast game day. Given how well this team compares to Rams and Lakers right now, Chargers could take over the town. Damn it...
