Not convinced the Clips will be able to play good enough D, its been a problem and my guess is it will continue to be, but we will see. Every non Laker fan was a Clipper fan last night and the demise was to be on display last night. Then the exact opposite happens which is kind of funny.

The Clippers may or may not be ready to take the next step. On paper they are improved. They have added several new pieces and a new coach. I suspect that it will take them some time to find the right rotations and gel. They didn't play very well last night. The Lakers got hot and won the game. I wouldn't read too much into it either way.

Which balls bounced the Lakers way and what pronouncements are being made? The only pronouncement I see is that the Clips aren't a championship team with that D, do you realistically think they are? They got destroyed by scrubs. You saw luck in that drubbing?

No one is proclaiming anything about the Lakers. Especially off the first game of the season, other than the Lakers will be lucky to make the playoffs with their current roster.

It was just an awesome game. One game. A game in which a team with championship hopes got embarrassed by a bunch of benchwarmers.

Clippers looked like a team that took the summer off thinking their talent would carry them.

Especially Griffin who had trouble guarding anyone.

I watched game one, and skipped last night's game. So, it must be my fault.

Actually, I don't have much in the way of expectations for this group, but they did show on opening night they could be fun to watch. I mean, Dantoni's offense is fun when being played correctly.

The Clippers will be fine, but I think most of the attention the results of the game drew was how lackidasical the Clippers looked. And I think oip had a point, they DID look like a team that has been reading their press clippings about how great they were going to be.
