Designated Survivor is damn good!

I'm liking it so far. It seems like they didn't kill off the Joint Chiefs of Staff, unless that war-hawk typecast angry general was the 'designated survivor' (and possible villain!) I don't think all 9 Justices would attend a State of the Union also, so there would be some continuity at the top of the judicial system. 17 yr old drug dealing son who can't baby-sit is annoying already, and I hope they don't make the 'relationship' between the two chief-of-staffs more than work-related (even though it seems like they may have already been in the sack). FBI girl isn't very convincing yet. What I like is that it show assumptions on competence based on government experience alone can be seriously off.

I'm wondering that too about the General. And did he have anything to do with the bombing? You never know about TV shows. In real life no way but...

Designated Survivor sort of reminds me of the back story in The Last Ship so far.
Hopefully it won't just follow the Jericho route and make it all an inside job.

Yeah, I like The Last Ship. The first season was the best of them, but I think it's still entertaining after 3 seasons and it was a show I always looked forward to seeing. I guess my anticipation is the truest measure of how much I actually like something.

Was scrolling through Netflix the other night, (couldn't sleep), and checked the "new releases".

Saw new episodes of "Longmire". I didn't even know this show existed... evidently they just released season 5 or 6.

So, I gave it a shot. It's pretty damn good! I'm only about 4 episodes in. But I'm really enjoying it. Apologies if this series was discussed earlier in this thread.

Longmire is one of my favorites. I really thought it going to get cancelled, but they keep hanging in there. Unfortunately they only film ten episodes per season.

I like it too. I'm guessing your wife just needs to see one episode and she'll be hooked. It's got huge appeal for women I would think with the lead character Longmire and the kick-ass deputy Vic (Victoria). Then you add the Indians and their culture. My aunt loves the show. Especially Sheriff Longmire.

I forgot to add the open spaces or the land. Very peaceful to watch a show with nice scenery.

Westworld has been a great watch... kind of a mind bender. Anthony Hopkins is really into his role. Season Finale this next Sunday.

Vikings is back tomorrow!

Worked a few weeks on the Last Man on Earth. Very funny show. The cast are great people too. Wonderful experience.
Also finished out season 2 of Colony. Seems like a quality show for network tv.
