To Rob, Rat, and Rugger, I marathoned S1 of True Detective last weekend thanks to another HBO/MAX freeview.

WOW, was that some dark sheet! Seriously, if a good e-friend of mine hadn't said watch it I would have quit it after ep 01. Glad I stuck with it, though. I did FF through most of the family boolsheet with Woody's character. Sorry if you thought that was interesting, but I didn't. My luggage.

Yeah, that was pretty surprising. They spent so much of the 1st two episodes showing him and his backstory. Maybe they will show quite a bit more of his back story as it goes on.

Agreed. I started to fall asleep after the first few episodes and I thought it moved too slow. I haven't looked at the second season yet.

There's a movie called "The Man From Earth" (2007) that has Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, Movement 2.
