IF we stick with a rookie, the choice is obviously Grice, who has more experience in pass protection then Oliver, so he would be an obvious choice as a sub for Woodhead, with Oliver being the change of pace guy.

The problem with that is that I think Grice probably distiguishes himself, then gets snatched off the PS, and we get nothing for him.

Go with the Law firm, he probably sticks around for the rest of the year, but if our guys come back healthy, it's no loss if we have to cut him.

I really don't want 2 rookie rbs at the same time. Especially since we only carry 3.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Two surprising things about Green-Ellis. One, he's only 29 years of age. Two, he ran for 1,000+ just two seasons ago. He also caught 22 balls in 2012.

The knock against the guy is he is never going to break any long runs, so his YPC is always going to suck. His YPC has always been under 4.0, and that is never going to change.

The good thing is that he is a tough guy, always suits up, and gets a lot of positive yards. There may not be much there, but he gets what is there, and right now we could use that. He has the football smarts that we really like in players, which is especially important since he is going to have to learn the offense fast.

He should be a solid bridge to Mathews. Good thing we have the easiest part of our schedule coming up.

Law Firm was done last season. No thanks, he's basically Ronnie Brown, just a bit more physical.

We've played maybe the top three Ds we'll face all year, I'm looking for the running game to bounce back in the next few weeks regardless of who we have at RB.

There is a shortage of good backs in the NFL to begin with, and he is about as good as is out there. if you are referring to his drop in production and YPC, that has as much to do with the Cinci playcalling and Bernard's success as it does to the Law firm himself. I agree, he is not a long term solution, but we are not necessarily in a position to be picky.

Who are you in favor of?

The flip side is that it is not unusual for an OL to come into a season and take a few games before they start playing well together. Last year, even the starters only played a few games together, so it is not a shock that it takes them a few weeks to get rolling. And losing Hardwick is not going to speed that process up any.

The one thing I am suprised a bit by is the fact that Reinhart spent most of his career playing RG. Troutman, prior to Denver, had only ever played LG. So, up till now, we have them playing the opposite positions.

Hell, I'd take Ronnie right now.
