COMMENTARY | The San Diego Chargers went into their game last weekend with the Washington Redskins sporting an improbable 4-3 record and needing a win to keep alive any idea of making the playoffs this year. The Chargers offense didn't disappoint -- putting up over 400 yards. Unfortunately, their defense allowed over 500 yards and they lost a tough game in overtime to an inferior Redskins team that managed to win despite spotting the Chargers an early seven points with a terrible interception for a touchdown. Once again the Chargers "kept it close" but didn't do enough to pull out the win.
