    NFL not discussing moving Chargers back to San Diego

    The NFL is not discussing the possibility of moving the Chargers back to San Diego, according to a spokesperson.ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared a quote from spokesman Joe Lockhart, who dismissed the notion of a return to San Diego: There has been some chatter about this possibility given two things. One, the Chargers’ foray into Los Angeles has been unceremonious. Two, veteran NFL reporter Don Banks speculated that some in the league would be talking about a potential move back given how badly things have gone in L.A. for the team so far. Banks’s words seemed like mere speculation rather than hard reporting, but that didn’t stop some from running with it like it was a fact the NFL was considering moving the team back to San Diego.Sure, the Chargers are playing in a soccer stadium for now and drawing 27,000 fans a game — many of which are fans of the opposing team.
