It’s still early, but Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Dylan Cantrell has been the talk of training camp. After struggling against press coverage early on, Cantrell made some adjustments and was beginning to make a habit of outwrestling his defensive counterparts for highlight-worthy, contested grabs during team drills. He was absolutely on fire coming into Friday’s practice.
Unfortunately, his torrid run has been brought to a screeching halt.
According to multiple reports from Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, the wide receiver hit the turf with an apparent right leg injury during practice. While some have speculated it might be a knee injury, the specifics have yet to be confirmed and head coach Anthony Lynn didn’t offer much in the way of an update during his post-practice press conference.
