The Panthers LB is headed west, According to Adam Schefter The Chargers are starting to make some moves if Adam Schefter’s sources are correct. The Chargers would be counting on the long-time Panther to still have plenty in the tank. Although he missed the first four games of 2018 due to a violation of the NFL’s PED policy, he did play 12 games and recorded 79 tackles, six pass deflections, and three tackles for a loss last year. That sort of disruption is exactly what Anthony Lynn is looking for from his increasingly beefy defensive squad. Although the specifics of the signing (or an official indication from the Chargers) are not yet known, we do know that Davis can be a very good player when he’s on the field. Off the field he can be a great human, winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year honor in 2014. On the other side of the coin, Davis suffered three annual ACL tears in 2009-2011, and was reportedly mulling retirement.
