Can this veteran find a way to capitalize on Tyrell Williams’ departure? There has been a log-jam at the wide receiver position over the last couple years and a number of capable wideouts have had to sit back and work in the background as Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Tyrell Williams, and Travis Benjamin kept all the playing time to themselves. Now that Tyrell has officially moved up to Oakland, there are a decent amount of snaps to go around to a lucky player who can separate himself from the pack. Davis is right up there on the short-list along with last year’s sixth-round pick, Dylan Cantrell, as well as Artavis Scott. Even with Travis Benjamin currently sitting at third on the depth chart, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the team use a heavy rotation to start the regular season (apart from Allen and Williams, of course.)
