Thursday was a setback for Mississippi State University — in more ways than one, that is.Despite a 22-point fourth quarter, the Bulldogs fell to Ole Miss, 31-28. Wore, they lost their starting quarterback — Nick Fitzgerald — as well. We’re not going to embed the video of said injury, though. It’s that bad. But if you are curious to see it, click here.On the season, 14th-ranked Miss. State fell to 8-4 and 4-4 within the SEC. The Bulldoges weren’t ever going to represent their conference in the SEC Championship Game, but this seems extra harsh.The junior signal-caller was completing just 56.2 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. Here’s to hoping Fitzgerald makes a full recovery ahead of his senior season. We never like to see an injury like that one.
