CJ Holmes was a relatively heavily recruited four-star running back who committed to Notre Dame back in 2016, but he did not last long at South Bend after he was arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident. Fortunately for him, Holmes is getting a second chance.According to a report from Lions247, Holmes has enrolled at Penn State and will join the team as a walk-on. He was present at a charity event with the Nittany Lions over the weekend.Holmes was ranked the No. 19 running back in the country for the Class of 2017, and he appeared in games as a true freshman at Notre Dame last season. He was dismissed from the program after he and former teammate Kevin Stephenson were arrested for allegedly stealing a North Face coat at a Macy's department store.
