The Clemson Tigers may have a quarterback crisis developing.Freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence left Clemson’s game against Syracuse late in the first half after taking a knee to the helmet on a scramble. Initial reports suggested that Lawrence was being evaluated for a concussion, with ESPN’s Holly Rowe reporting that the training staff took his helmet away. During his halftime television interview, coach Dabo Swinney didn’t seem to have much information on Lawrence’s status.“I’ll find out when I get back in there,” Swinney said, via Tony Crumpton of TigerNet. “He took a shot and got banged out there. We are checking him out and hopefully, he will be able to come back.”Any serious injury to Lawrence would be a nightmare scenario for Clemson, as it comes less than a week after fellow quarterback Kelly Bryant announced his decision to transfer. Redshirt freshman Chase Brice took over late in the second half, with the Tigers losing 16-7 to Syracuse.
