Kliff Kingsbury thanks Texas Tech fans in farewell letter

Kliff Kingsbury’s sixth year coaching at Texas Tech will be his last, as the school has decided to move on from him following a 5-7 season. On Monday, the Red Raiders alumnus made it clear that there are no hard feelings. In a letter that he shared on social media and had published in a local Lubbock newspaper, Kingsbury called coaching at Texas Tech the “honor of my life” and thanked fans and the school for their support. Kingsbury was only able to take Texas Tech to three bowl games in six years, and it was not a surprise when school administrators decided to move on from him following a 5-7 campaign. The Red Raiders were 16-21 with just one bowl appearance in the past three years. One report claims Texas Tech already has a replacement in mind, and Kingsbury should be able to find a job as a head coach with a smaller program if he chooses to go that route.
