On Wednesday, LSU punter Josh Growden entered the NCAA transfer portal. On Thursday, the Tigers landed a commitment from an in-state punter. Peyton Todd (West Monroe, La.) committed to the Tigers, according to 247Sports’ Shea Dixon. The 6-5, 210-pound punter is one of the nation’s best for the class of 2021. He shared his commitment via Twitter and wrote the following: “First off, I want to thank God for giving me such an amazing support system and the talent to play the game that I love. I want to thank my mom for being my #1 supporter from day one. I want to thank all of the coaches that have helped me along the way and given me opportunities to compete and develop as a football player and a person. I want to thank my family, friends and all the people God has put in my path for always having my back and showing me the right way when life got tough.
