The search for the best mustache in college football may have ended on Thursday night. If you watched any of Temple’s win over East Carolina, you probably thought the guy on the Pringles can or the Monopoly Man was in charge of punting duties for the Pirates. That was junior John Young, however, and he has easily one of the best mustaches in sports. Any talk about facial hair in sports lately has been about Gardner Minshew, and rightfully so. The Jacksonville Jaguars rookie has a great mustache and a backstory to go along with it, but he had better hope Young never becomes a star punter in the NFL. Young is more than just a guy with a great lip-warmer, too. He has averaged 42.0 yards per punt this year and 40.8 yards throughout his three-year college career, which began at West Virginia before he transferred. He’s one of the best punters in the AAC. You could even say the guy just has it all.
