Scott Frost seems at a loss to fix Nebraska's struggles after poor half

Things are not going great for Nebraska coach Scott Frost. The Cornhuskers were on the road to face 2-6 Purdue on Saturday, and they jumped out to a 10-0 lead. However, a mistake-filled second quarter saw Nebraska allow 14 unanswered points to go into the half trailing by four. It was at that point that Frost gave a rather startling quote about the team correcting those mistakes. As many noted, Frost is the coach; he’s one of the few with the ability to do more than just hope. He obviously can’t just tell Adrian Martinez to stop throwing interceptions, or magically correct Nebraska’s 1-of-7 mark on third downs. He can, however, make some adjustments, and the passivity of the quote rubbed some the wrong way. No word on whether any of his players were wearing hoodies, but we’re guessing not.
