I don't care about cred right now.
    Never a factor.
It's the day after the SB.
    We draft in 2.5 months.
    Is AVT a reach at #13 ?
Is it even possible to fix Oline elsewhere ?

      +
      Quick get off.
      Mostly accurate on run blocks.
      Good leg drive after engagement.
Good awareness and decision making on blitzes.
Good awareness of QB position in pocket.
      Good bend and pad level.

      -
He seemed really fatigued in Q4.
      One bad holding call.
      One atrocious run block whiff.

      Overall good/v.good. Solid.

      Great scouting !
      Negatives include...
--age (but that can mean he's mature)
      --level of competition.
--help from frequency of 12 Personnel usage
      --dealing with NFL speed

How fast can he grow ?
How long will Bulaga's back hold up ?

BYU Oline was in the discussion for the Joe Moore Award.
I see a player who will fit into a unit, position group well.
Exclusively OLT at BYU but projects to Swing, OG too.

        AVT ?
        Creed ?
        Wyatt ?
        These other OTs ?
Now you are getting into BPA territory @ #13.
You are gonna end up with a Fluker, I am warning you.
AVT is no Fluker, provided you play him at LG, where he will be excellant. BPA? Legit question...do want BPA at 13, to an extent...AVT may or may not be that, depending on how the draft goes.
The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB, Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

AVT is certainly a much better athlete. He has a lot of technical issues to correct before he can hold up at OT. OG to start off his career.

I wouldn’t be opposed to drafting AVT specifically to play RG...at least he’ll play there in 2021. Have AVT slide to RT to replace Bulaga in 2022. That way, not only do we replace Turner and save the 11.5M, we turn a position of weakness into a strength, protect the QB, improve the run game, etc.. It’s smart and immediately effective.

Draft the LT of the future in R2. There’s an excellent cluster there. Eichenberg, Cosmi, Jenkins, Radunz. One or more will still be on the board.

Bang. Fixed RG, unlocked 11M, got a future right bookend, got a left bookend, better pocket, better run game. We’ll have Herbert AND both bookends locked into rookie deals.

Use that Turner money to summon Corey Linsley.

Draft a day 2 guard to complete with whoever’s at LG (Lamp or Feeney). Or let those clowns walk and go after Feiler.

I’m not a trencher in every draft. But this year, in this situation, it’d be foolish not to be.

              There, I said it.

              Bolt Dude out.

Walker Little may be there too, Carman a potential target for right tackle/guard at 47 if we don't take AVT. A deep tackle class is great news.

Good point. I left Little outta that 2nd round cluster because I’m waiting for his combine/pro-day. But he could very well belong right there with the others.

Carman a potential guard candidate in the 3rd. Along with Borom, Hainsey, Banks, and Cleveland. Maybe even Meinerz and Moore.

OL is hard to rate against WR's, QB's, RB's... ect. I've got 3 OT's that I'm confident can play LT. Sewell, Slater, and ATV. If any are there @#13, I take them.

                        Good grief.
                        Fluker @ # 11.
AVT mid to late round 1...value @ #13 is questioned here in the woodCamp.
                        Christensen round 4.

What would make AVT a Fluker pick is that we overdraft an Olineman out of desperation,
when there is an opportunity to upgrade elsewhere sitting there.

It's like I need a flyswatter to deal with some of this shit.

Good question. Teven Jenkins was a stud at RT at Oklahoma State. Making the switch to the other side comes easier to some than others. It’s up to the real talent scouts to decide on that one.
