Faalele looked very good. He is strong, physical, and has good feet.
    Mafe was invisible.
    Ibrahim is a beast.
It’s a shame about Ibrahim. Reports say he’s out for the season.

I’m really digging RB Zach Charbonnet UCLA transfer from Michigan. Physical, down hill, north and south, violent style reminds me of all day Peterson. Would be a great addition to Chargers backfield. Had one target and showed nice hands, natural mover, ascending talent.

The real stud on UCLA is TE Greg Dulcich. He’ll be climbing boards.

Think Chargers should be good @ TE position but yeah intriguing prospect whom compares to Zach Ertz I believe. LSU’s secondary despite having top CB Stingley not good. He was completely open every target. A bull to get down however and seems to have very good hand placement/technique.

Great Saturday night of football at the Rose Bowl!

Gotta say that kid Phidarian Mathis, the humongous DT from Bama, looked elite. 6’4, 312, but looks and plays bigger. Total dominator.

I’m not going to make a big deal of it, too early, but Zach measureables are very similar to Adrian Peterson, both around 6’2” 220 but it’s their violent style, never down first contact, rarely second either, usually takes multiple players which was the AD trademark.

A hybrid slot receiver for the Razorbacks, he is clearly raw with many of the details of the position, but he thrives through contact and his competitive toughness (before and after the catch) is something you feel on tape.
Somebody better get in that kid's ear with this message:
"When you grow into your man body, you 248 lbs. You'll only be evaluated as a tight end. Get your blocking skills in order, and you could rock the draft."

With all respect there've been thousands of backs at 220 pounds, who beat up on college kids, especially ones from Hawaii U. How many have 4.25 speed and all the other things AP brought to the game? I graduated from UCLA, but the Zach kid hasn't earned a spot on my radar quite yet.

Like you said, you weren't trying to make a big deal about it yet.

NOTRE DAME SAFETY KYLE HAMILTON pick vs. Florida State

Hamilton...wow, look how much turf he covered to get this pick:

Didn’t even look like he was running fast. Almost jogging most of the way. Exceptional.

To Charbonnet’s credit, it was against LSU, not Hawaii. But the other RB looked great, too. Maybe props are due for that UCLA OL?

Anyways, Charbonnet does run with that upright power style, a la Eric Dickerson and AP. But let’s watch a few more games before drawing those connections with ink instead of pencil.
