I’m not saying he’s better or even anywhere near as good as ASJ, but in uniform he looks (minus the dreads) and plays very similar to ASJ but he’s also faster than ASJ too…

Yea....I think more is being made of those comments about the 4th round than should be. He might have liked the players he missed, but not enough to trade up for them...otherwise, he would have, as his history suggests....instead, he is just being candid that the draft doesn't always fall perfectly...but in the end, it was important to stay put and use those picks to add young talent/competition in camp, rather than trade them away.

Do you think there's a chance Filer gets moved to RT (He's played there before) and they start Johnson at LG and Salyer at RG? Salyer looked great playing RG in the NC game in the 2nd half.

In reality it's a chinese fire drill all season long. Players will most likely have to learn two positions other than our left tackle and center. The rest of the guys get moved around as injuries happen. Not worried that they can manage this season as it's a marathon.

Georgia OL were all considered Guards, who could also kick outside. In the NFL you might get away with paying these guards who play OT guard contracts? But eventually you would probably just wind up with a bunch of expensive guards. Still interesting angle, to leverage Super Bowl run once Herbert is off his rookie contract.

just putting it out there, as is a pretty good read if you're a draftnik, and.... just goes to show that for the occasional poster who spins that broken record, as to how any Powder Blues poster could possibly know more than a GM.... there are plenty of names that were well bandied about here and showed out their rookie year, and.... didn't get drafted so high/early, i.e. Christian Barmore, Elijah Molden, Trey Smith, Nate Hobbs, Elijah Mitchell, etc.

ps. 'tis also buyer beware, as a fair bit of peoples here were rather fond of Caleb Farley, and despite his injury concerns, and.... voila, he was sidelined most of the season as it turns out.

Seems generous to me. Slater was all that, but question marks, two concussions later Samuel must show drastic improvement his second year to earn that hype, but strictly first season no.

Palmer we all hope for more production, was solid in limited duty as depth piece only.

Hardley saw McKitty and Rumph, and never saw Jaimes despite having serious issues on the right side of OL. Niemann was in and out. Rountree straight up disappointment and Webb out for season with injury.

We we're hoping for the best, maybe a B+ post draft but in reflection C+ postseason. Traditionally should give it 3 years before grading, but they put this out after only one and just doesn't reflect reality, IMO.

Agree, but its PFF and people love to believe their stories....regardless of reality. Could end up a A., we'll see. Slater alone gives it a high grade but yes way early to be giving grades on drafts after 1 season.

Agreed, should be more reflective of sample size, hence based on those numbers alone, as rookies.
