The 2021 Draft “I told you so” thread

I liked Brown a lot, too. Man, imagine if we got Brown at 77, then still landed Palmer at 97.

But the past is the past.

Ninja has me on the Trevor Penning wagon now. I like what I’ve seen so far and I’m looking forward to his Senior Bowl performance.

I’m convinced that RT should be our R1 pick, even before DT. As fans, I think we’re overreacting a little about our run D for three reasons:

1. No Justin Jones.

2. Inflated opponents’ running numbers due to Staley inviting the run.

3. Unreal expectations due to Staley’s run D with the Rams. We don’t have Aaron Donald, and we won’t draft the next Aaron Donald. He’s not out there.

I told anyone who would listen that he will be an All-Pro or at least win Defensive Rookie of the Year. He is off to a great start in that regard; I truly loved the pick that much.

Agreed. Eagles WR group has a ton of speed and elusiveness just no real size. They could use to add a larger perimeter WR but I like several of their young core.
If Smith turns out to be more of a Marvin Harrison type, than the headless horseman, that group is going to tough to contain.

I thought Smith had a really nice game.

He had a long TD catch called back for some bullshit penalty. He got pushed outta bounds but clearly reestablished himself before the catch. As it was, he had 7 catches for 122.

If the refs made the right call it would have been 8 for 150 and a TD. Easy rookie of the week.
