    Clutch wins championships.
    Keenan is consistent.
    Mike is clutch.

    I hope we do.

For some reason I have doubts he will stay and will seek money and may get more elsewhere. Hope I'm wrong.

Our run defense issues are largely from poor tackling by LBs/DBs, as much or more so than DT stoutness. Dean is very good at fighting through the wash and finishing tackles, sideline to sideline. He is also good at mirroring RBs/TEs in coverage, and at closing speed when blitzing. Dean will have a huge role on ST too.

Tranquill goes to DIME, ST and very important depth at ILB.

K9 gets snaps at EDGE, and at ILB vs power offenses.
Our LBs and secondary can tackle. But it’s much harder to tackle someone running through a big hole. Why are the holes so big? Lack of DL stoutness. I blame Tillery.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Round 3/86. Marcus Jones. CB Slot/KR/WR Speed Houston.

5'8" 185# 4.45 with elite short area quickness. 12 career TDs. Has been seen high pointing interceptions, tackling with authority, and returning kickoffs for walk off TDs, as time expires !

Last weekend this guy had two picks, 3 passes defensed, and 6 tackles.

Round 4/117. Jermayne Lole 3T Arizona State.

TFL specialist to rotate in with Tillery and JJones.
          ‐‐-------------------------------------
Round 5/164. Dontay Demus WR X Maryland.

Proto type X receiver coming off injury, creates late round value.
In the Lombardi offense, the X receiver gets lots of touches. It doesn'tdhave to be expensive production. Palmer. Demus. Even Jason Moore.
          -----------------------------

Round 6/194 Isaac Taylor-Stuart CB USC

Athletic. Size. Chiefly Outside Corner. Developmental. The potential is clearly there.
          ----------------------

Round 6/215 John Ridgeway 1T Arkansas

6'6"/320# HS state heavyweight wrestling champion. Good leverage, power, anchor. Fully capable of making plays in the backfield. Steal snaps from Linval.
          --------------------

Round 6/216 Pierre Strong RB South Dakota State.

Same size as current RB population. Good vision, hops, receiving.
          -----------------------------

          Round6/220 Nick Ford IOL Utah
Position flexibility over perfect Outside Zone scheme fit. Powerful. Has had snaps all across the Oline. But not particularly mobile.
          --------------------------

Round 7/242. Brant Kuithe. Flex TE Utah

          Competition for Nabors/Anderson.
          -----------------

Round7/256. Frank Ladson WR Speed Clemson

          Long striding deep threat.
          Competition for Guyton.

I’ve been watching Marcus Jones as well. His height is a little concerning but his return skills are dynamic. I like him, just not in the 3rd. He’s a great returner but he’s no Devin Hester. Apparently he has a rap career too.

Our run defense floundered for several reasons.
Most point to the absence of JJones
and the trickle down effect from that.
This included too many snaps for Linval,
and asking Tillery to do things he is not good at, etc.

However, concurrently, we were missing Kyzir, Tranq, K9.
As all observed K9 was not taking to this scheme well anyway.
IMV consistent tackling by ILBs is a central problem.
I saw lots of yardage after contact.
The scheme calls for us to limit big plays.
Kyzir + Dean is an upgrade, as much as we like Tranq.
Dean leads to better STs too.
                McShay #9 overall.

Interesting take, Woody. EDGE and CB through FA. Like Bolt Dude, I blame the run defense on the DL mostly. They are supposed to keep LB's clean. A LB I've been looking at lately is Wisconsin ILB Leo Chenal. Great tackler with experience bringing pass rush from the ILB position.

Leo Chenal is every QB's worst nightmareWisconsin Football, Badger Football, Leo Chenal, B1G Football, College Football, NCAA, Linebacker, Sack, Wisconsin vs...

That's a great stat line for a college game but......at 5-8 I fear that the average NFL receiver will be a handful for him. Anybody 6-2 will have a 6 inch height advantage and every team would know that. He had better be one hell of a baller.........

Emphasis on my Turkey Leftover Mock was placed on ST.

QB, S, P PK were the only positions not addressed. We have a lot of picks ! PONs are deep.

This particular multi-role player would see snaps in a variety of spots. He is clutch. CB Slot vs Big Slot WRs would not be one of them.

                        Tyrann Mathieu 5'9"
                        Tyreek Hill 5'10"
                        Devon Hester 5'11"
                        Marcus Jones 5'8"

                        If you're counting.

We could call that secondary The Mighty Mights.

                          Jones 5'8"
                          Williams 5'9"
                          Samuels 5'10"

My biggest concern would be the WR's, though.

Demus and Ladson are great value there. But I'd worry that they wouldn't make an impact right away. I'd be worried that KA would get too much attention without a true weapon on the other side. Mike Williams largely disappeared against Baltimore, New England, Philly, and Minnesota. We lost 3 out 4 games.
