    We need to do some double dipping, UFA/Draft, at positions of acute need.
    Those are some pretty expensive tastes, Woody.

    Let's say Spotrac's numbers are right (or at least close)...

    Williams = $16 million
    Jones = $15.5 million
    Barnett = ??? The Eagles paid his $10 million 5th-year extension and have 2 sacks to show for it so far. What do you think Barnett gets on the free market?

      ORT is his position.
      Yeah, I saw that you mocked him in the 2nd round. You don't think he'll make it to the 3rd round?

        I see a perfect fit, a natural plug n play ORT.

        We do not need a repeat of the Philip Rivers era.

        For that, I will overdraft.

          Barnett would get a one year show me contract...not much more than $10 million.

            My only question... is Staley looking for Justin Hollins 2.0...? Does Barnett fit that profile? I think Fackrell comps pretty well to Hollins (a favorite of yours IIRC). That's probably why Fackrell was brought in. I guess the next question might be... do they bring back Fackrell? Do they bring back Nwosu? Both?

              Yep. I've been leery of mocks that always have him available in the 3rd round. Poor PR... he deserved better.

                  I would swap him out for Pipkins in a heartbeat.

                  It looks like your "luxury pick" is WR Speed.

                  You n Steve are destroying my ILB dream.

                    Regarding Jameson:
                    He stole my heart when I saw how easy it was for him to toast McCreary up the sideline for that phantom PI penalty. I could feel Saban’s wrath all the way from Lake Tahoe.

                    Regarding ILB dreams:
                    Kyzir’s in his 4th year and he’s just starting to figure it out. K-9 and Tranq (2020 injury) are both second year guys. They are still ascending. I’m not willing to give up. Especially when Staley uses single ILB nickel packages most of the time. I want our talent on the field.

                    I would be more open to Dean if I thought he could play edge, but at 6’0, 235, I don’t see that happening in the big boy league. Additionally, I’ve made concessions because of the talent of Dean’s front four. He won’t have that luxury on our team. It will be shocking for him.

                      I think the resign Fackrell. He’ll be cheaper than Nwosu and offers a better fit. We draft a day 2 edge to replace Nwosu.

                        Oh I get it.
                        Concerns include things like Patty outside the pocket, all these running QBs, and coverage on TEs.
                        ILB pressure on blitzes does get dialed up.
                        WRS is a PON.
                        Waddle and DeVonta Smith do look great.
                        Skier or snowboarder ?

                          Better DL push paired with stronger, more disciplined edge play will cure ‘Patty out the pocket’ and the AFCW doesn’t have too many running QBs, though that is a concern in the bigger picture.

                          I’m wondering how the K9 edge project will progress. An explosive WR is a PON, and Jameson is everything the Raiders had hoped Ruggs would be.

                          The future of our ILBs will be further bolstered by a developing Niemann and Bong man.

                          Snowboarder, but the secret to joy in the mountains is the summertimes. Don’t tell anyone.
