If Ramsey redid that contract in a sign and trade, I’d give MIA Gilman and a 4th right now. But he needs to tear up that contract and redo his deal…
Thats the only way he’s playing with James.

I hope it’s either Taylor or Colston in the first round as I think that either one stands the best chance of becoming Herbert’s favorite target.

I wouldn’t mind if Hortiz traded up for Warren.
Gates…Yet another monster, drive extending TE.

        lol!

zero chance LAC is gonna pay for Ramsey, either in MIA comp or Ramsey pay. none, zilch. If they were going to pay Ramsey, we'd have Adams or ... idunno, a legit starting OC or ??? ... already

Also zero chance they trade Sir James away, they love that motherfccccr ... as do I. he's the beating heart of our defense, he's not going anywhere.

How could you fix the offense if you could only take one player in the draft? Is that possible?
I think Taylor or Henderson go a long way to making the offense in its current state much better. How much better is the question and is that worth taking that guy at 22…

Tyler Warren is worth trading up for, IMO.

Chris Trapasso has Chargers trading up for Miami’s 13th pick to snag Warren.

That's a really good question! TE and RB are really good answers.
Assuming that defense is addressed in the 2nd round (CB/DT/Edge)... then you also have to compare TE/RB 3rd-round prospects.

RB: Damien Martinez, DJ Giddens, Devin Neal
TE: Terrence Ferguson... maybe Gunnar Helm (more of 4th for me)

If we could pull a trade-back with the Bills (#30) and get a starting caliber center (Conner McGovern) in the deal...

#30: TE Mason Taylor... along with center Conner McGovern
            #55: DT TJ Sanders
            #86: RB DJ Giddens

Then you weigh CB vs Edge in the 4th round... maybe even WR.
We're not going to be able to address all of our needs in the draft. But I think TE and RB#2 will be valued by the JH's.
The center situation still worries me... I don't buy the Zion to center talk. And I think both Boze and James are better suited as depth players.

Folks keep posting "Taylor is only 20" as if its a great benefit. Why is that a benefit? wgaf if he is 20 or 22? is it because you expect a huge additional improvement when he's 22, or are you planning a decade out? if you're thinking for 10 years from now, I would humbly suggest that maybe you're thinking way too hard.

Like thats going to happen lol. Harbaugh and Minter love the guy. Now that its so obvious Staley had no idea how use him,...which some of us pointed out.... we wasted three years of his career with Staley.

Where is Velo BTW. Anyone seen him? Hope he is OK.

Huh - Where is our good friend?

I remember him posting mea culpas last season as James returned to his epic form. He saw the disease in prior years, he just misdiagnosed the cause and therefore couldn't see a cure - as you noted, the cause was Staley.

He will be 21 in May. But its a benefit because he still has maturing to do. At 22 he will have NFL experience under his belt while still gettingh better mentally and physically.

Now let me ask.....would you rather he be 20 or 23? Many of these college players are coming out at 23 now because they stay longer in college because of these bullshit NIL that is ruining college ball.
Getting a player younger in a career that doesnt last long for many is always better than getting them at 22-24...and now near 25.

Agree, he could sign elsewhere at 25 but chances are if we are winning, he likes the staff ....he stays. Taylor comes from money being a Son of a NFL player and likely had SOME NIL so i doubt he is a take the highest bidder type....but im guessing.
Players do like their original team that drafted them.....unless you are Cleveland, Jets, and 1 or 2 shitbag franchises. Even in Dallas players complain that Jerry has fan tours that he charges them to take and it distracts from what they are doing and some players have said they dont like it.

Do you think he'll last to Rd4? Idunno, I can't predict what I'm having for dinner.

I love him as a change of pace rocket back but he's probably more limited in uses than Henderson?

Throughout his career, what were Brady’s primary weapons? TE and a slot WR. Mahomes? TE.

Every team Taylor played against last year knew he was getting it on 3rd down, and he just kept the drive going by being Mr Reliable. One drop last year. One.

This guys a “big gamble?” Of all the players the Chargers can draft here, he’s actually one of the lowest gambles…
The Ravens drafted TE Hayden Hurst with the #25 pick in 2018.
In a rather lack-luster 2025 draft... it wouldn't surprise me if we "reach" for a player @#22.
A trade-back would be ideal... but hard to find a partner that might be content to wait (and still find a good player @#23-32).
