Florida State junior TE Ryan Izzo is the latest underclassman to announce that he will be entering the 2018 draft. The 6-4, 245-pound Izzo, who caught 20 passes for 317 yards and 3 scores this season, is a mid-to-late round prospect for the upcoming draft.

Auburn junior RB Kerryon Johnson confirmed earlier this evening that he will be entering the 2018 draft where he figures to be a mid-second day pick. Johnson actually entered the season as a back-up but quickly emerged as one of the more dynamic backs in the country as he ran for almost 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns, while catching 24 passes including 2 for two scores and was ultimately named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed reports that UCLA junior LT Kolton Miller has signed with an agent and will also be turning pro this winter. The 6-8 Miller was named a second team All-PAC-12 OT this season.

Texas A&M junior WR/KR Christian Kirk heads a list of three underclassmen who announced their intention to enter the 2018 draft. The 5-11, 200-pound Kirk is currently the 5th rated receiver on the GBN positional board and the 34th rated overall prospect Notre Dame junior OG Quenton Nelson announced

Solid OT and QB talent could lead to guys at those positions slipping down draft boards, definitely gonna be some value picks at those positions in the middle rounds. Just like King in the 5th last year.

            January 5, 2018 - 9:59 am

Another QB domino for the 2018 draft has fallen as star Louisville junior QB Lamar Jackson announced this morning that he will indeed be turning pro this winter. There had been speculation in recent days that Jackson might opt to return to school in the hopes of improving his passing skills. Jackson, the 2016 Heisman winner and a finalist this year, has been one of the most dynamic players in college the past couple of seasons, but he made many of his plays with his legs and was considered to have only an average arm. As such, he figures to be one of the more polarizing prospects in the 2018 draft class.

            January 4, 2018 - 9:42 pm

Oklahoma junior TE Mark Andrews and Notre Dame redshirt sophomore WR Equanimeous St. Brown, both of whom are considered to be among the top prospects at their respective positions, have confirmed that they will be entering the 2018 draft.

Could be 5. Maybe even 6 if Rudolph is in the mix. There are 6 teams in front of us that need QBs. And then you figure in potentially 2 RBs. Barkley and Guice. TB and Cleveland are desperate. I could see Barkley going 1 and the Cleveland getting the QB at 4. If 6 QBs go and then 2 RBs we get a top 8 player at the other positions. Maybe better if a WR or 2 go. Be nice if 9 of the players in front of us were WR, RB and QB.

We should be able to land a top OL, or a playmaker on D. TT, just make it an every-down player, please.
