Draft Day 2 Thread

Trevor was injured and Davis stepped up big. Huge jump in his play from his rookie year. I expect Trevor to bounce back. The only reason i even mock us a CB is because its a desired possition but dont feel its a need, but we can always use one in case of injury.

As for Facyson, i hope he takes the big jump Davis did but right now we dont know what we have in him.

I think CB is so important, it is almost always a need....it's annoying. But this year, when the best CBs fell to us in the first, it was preposterous, even for me, to watch us pass on them for a reach/need. If Tillery brings a motivated game, I think it will be fine...we will see. But Byron Murphy is a damn good player, and Greedy and Rock Ya-Sin are also very promising...I grade all three above Tillery....nevermind the Safeties or Olineman. But then again, I'm just a pipefitter...

I have said this board over hypes a few players and Thornhill was one of them but he will probably come off the board today.

To be fair the arguement of ghats why all ghe other teams paased on them isnt great. Alot of players slip out the 1st and become pro bowlers..
for me i want a corner because caxey is aging. We just lost verrett. King plays the slot. We need a corner whose sthletic enough to play vith fs/cb. I would be ecstatic for juan thornhill.

I agree, hope some good ones are still on the board when we pick, but I like how he plays.

For example, Darnell Savage was graded by a LOT of draftniks AND people on this board as a second rounder, but he ends up getting picked at #21 overall by the Packers, ahead of other supposed "first round" safeties like Adderley, Thornhill, maybe even Gardner and Rapp. Look how high Ferrell was taken--#4 overall by the Raiders--now you can say he's a reach, but Chuckie and Mikey must have REALLY liked him to make SURE they got their man...(now, I do hope he disappoints, because he's a Raider)...but it's not exact science here...look how far Derwin James fell last year--ya think there might be a few teams kicking themselves for not pulling the trigger on him when they had the chance? You bet-cha!

Only way to truly get an accurate representation of your draft board is to wait to the end of year 4 and reslot them.
25%+ of these first rounders will be busts/not live up to his draft position.
Always happens a prospect I love just crashes and burns.

That's the first thing I thought of when I read it. Quite a few folks from my R4 cluster on there. Our arms are getting a bit long with some of those reaches as a 2 or 3 IMHO.
