Carolina now leads the league there. We are second with 19. Titans have 15 and are 8-2. They play sound defense, we dont which i think would be a bigger game changer.

Agree, I am just addressing the issues with the QB. If we did not have so many drops the QB would have much better stats and we would have 2 more wins easy. Fix the defense and the team would be unbeatable.

It took super duper Game calculus, Dropped balls and defenders running scott free to the QB to make our QB mediocre. Lombardi scares the shit out of me because he doesn't optimize what he has he just pushes his own agenda. Somehow I get the feeling he tries to control everything and in the end controls nothing!

Which brings me to the question... where is Bulaga Tom Telesco? Still waiting on him?

It's a much different team.
Personnel and Scheme.

I was saying all last year, the roster has issues that can't be fixed by coaching.

We saw it with special teams this year, it didn't get better because of coaching. Special teams got better because of personnel change. Hopkins and Roberts.

Left tackle didn't get better because of coaching. It got better because of the player, Slater.

If this team is going to improve, it will be because Chargers personnel is better.

Telesco is on his 3rd HC.

I do think Staley is a better football mind and better in game coach than Lynn was. But I also thought it was a minor miracle JH10 was rookie of the year with the worst O-line player personnel in NFL.

Think Staley can win a Championship if he has the fully charged roster.

Drops are just inexcusable. Its funny the people that want to come on and slam Herbert week after week neve mention that the Chargers lead the league in drops. That in of itself would be a game changer for the season.

Which team is better:

The team Anthony Lynn coached the final four games of last season, or the team Staley coached over the past four games?

I have no love for Lynn. My point is, has anything really changed from Lynn to Staley? Is this really a new era, or is it more of the same? Remember that Lynn lost his first four but coached the Chargers to a 9-7 record in his first season, and the next season coached the team to a 12-4 record and a playoff win. Again, I'm not advocating for Lynn. I'm just pointing out some truths. Right now this team doesn't look any better coached than when we had Lynn, Steichen and Bradley. In some ways it looks worse. Staley's team has had its moments, beating KC, the Raiders and Cleveland to reach 4-1 was fantastic. But Lynn's Chargers had their moments too. So what is the difference? These are games the Chargers should win. A 3-5 team at home, these are the games the Chargers have to win, losing games like this really is unacceptable, and if I were the Spanoses I would be angry. The offense failed at home against an already bad defense that was missing a bunch of its starters. Good coaching do not lose games like this, do not fall flat on offense when you have players such as Herbert, Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Slater, Linsely, Feiler, and Mike Williams. I'm just ticked off, because over the past four games, it doesn't appear anything has changed from Norv to McCoy to Lynn and now Staley. There were experienced, qualified NFL coaches who coveted this job. Brian Daboll never got a chance to interview for this job because his team was in the playoffs. He must be feeling some level of vindication, satisfaction, about now.

Even tho is extremely frustrating and painful to lose... I'm not going all wacko this year... I am going to let everyone (Coaches and Players) develop and learn... Tom Telesco has to up his game tho... he is the only one in the entire organization that I have under the microscope....

What would also help Justin Herbert is if his receivers would actually catch the ball. How many drops again yesterday? At least 5 or 6.

Mike Williams is either really hurt or just inconsistent as hell as he can't get open. He is losing a lot of money
Allen can't get open or they double him
Guyton, Palmer, Cook all had drops
Ekeler had another drop

Offense cannot get anything going to stay on the field. No rhythm to it at all - again.

That was my first game at SoFi and what a dud. The crowd was never into it, what Chargers fans there were but the Vikes fans were sure vocal. Purple everywhere you looked and if I hear "SKOL" one more time I want to vomit. The seats were good and the boards were amazing. Just a bummer that the Bolts simply played at a lower level to the Vikes.

I think the next Chargers game will be a road game for sure. At least at a stadium with air conditioning.....It was warm as hell in there Sunday. NO air flow........
