In NFL, change isn’t for the better | SF Chronicle

destroyed the stability of two of its coolest, most historic franchises in two of its top markets, while ruining the history of its best division, the AFC West."

    "
Congratulations to San Diego and Oakland for refusing to be extorted. And shame on the NFL and its members of the lucky sperm club for failing to value their communities. Dean Spanos is definitely in that club."

Going forward, I'll be referring the owner as "Lucky"

One thing I don't agree with is the sudden canonization of Alex Spanos. I refuse to believe he wouldn't have done the same thing.

That, and the people who want to let the Mannings off the hook. Alex ran off Don Coryell, and he gave his bumbling fucktard of a son the reins to the team. Fuck Alex Spanos. Fuck Dean Spanos, fuck the Mannings.

Alex started this whole bullshit by running his mouth to a reporter. I bet most of the people praising him weren't even fans back then. They certainly weren't paying attention if they were.

Alex's last coherent words were probably "move the team."
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
