USMNT beats Mexico.... in the CONCACAF Nations cup final Dos A Cero. 3 Peat. Of course, El Tri fans break out their favorite chant, and delay the inevitable.

USMNT won the CONCACAF Nations League Final over Canada 2-0, last Sunday. If you don't recall, Canada was the best team in the World Cup Qualifier last season. The Gold Cup starts this weekend, with only 5 players staying on the squad, and a slew of MLS players added. Part of the reason was to allow the European league players to attend pre-season with their club team. Even then , the US men should be the favorites again. This might be the most talented group of players , and very young... Pulisic is only 24, and he might not be the best player on the roster/pool. Looking good for a chance at the Copa America next year, then the World Cup in 2025.

After the Gold Cup, the Women will defend their WC back to back, in late July, 'down under' in Australia and New Zealand.

Final score, Pepi adds one to make it 3-0, but the end was a mess... Mexico frustrated, led to intentional fouls, led to fights and 4 red cards (2 on each side), then the crowd came out with the P.... yell. Referee called the end of the match early.

USA plays Canada for the final on Sunday, but will not have Dest and McKinney who got the reds for their retaliations.

Wow Group E. Japan wins the group by beating Spain, but Germany is out, even after beating Costa Rica. Spain was almost put out as well when Los Ticos went ahead of Germany for 3 min in the second half. Morocco wins Group F, and FIFA ranked #2 Belgium crashed out of the tournament.

Saudi scores, Mexico needs 2 goals in 2 min. Argentina wins 2-0.

edit. Final, Mexico 2 - Saudi Arabia 1. Argentina wins the group and Poland is second. Mexico and KSA goes home. If Messi hadn't been blocked on his penalty, Mexico would have advanced, if they didn't give up the last goal... all on them.

Now GD is even, Argentina is now 2-0. Mexico has 7 yellow cards to Poland 4, so Mexico need either another goal or one from Argentina.

Watching Group C final matches.. Argentina and Mexico take leads, but Poland still in over Mexico on goal differential, Saudi can still get in . About 45 min left.

Poland has the 'Fair Play' advantage over Mexico if GD is even.
