For the next match I would rather see the Dutch, vs. the Swedes. Its probably a toss up.

I think the Dutch are the better team, but would make for a great final. USWNT is definitely in the drivers seat.

English do have a history of being shit at penalties, but James Milner is fucking money and Kane is a great pen taker. This new generation might be putting that to bed. Oh, F Kane. Lol.

Another long day of watching footie... and the match ups are confirmed.

On Sunday, USWNT plays the Netherlands. The Dutch and Swedes had to go to extra time but all it takes is one. I hope Aslani from Sweden is ok,

On Sunday Night, USMNT v. Mexico. A much better game, despite a lightning delay vs. Jamaica. It looked like it was going to be a blowout at first. Anyway, Pulisic continues to produce scoring twice and McKennie had the opening score. 3-1. The final will be the sixth meeting at the final for USA-MEX. Mexico is missing key players.

The refs are definitely giving the NED all the calls early. They seem to be very tricky tacky against the US but allowing NED to play very physical.

My anxiety level dropped to almost nothing. Great individual goal. The Dutch GK kept the game very close, but ultimately the peppering had its effect.

I reviewed the goals, and the final goal by Rose Lavelle was probably the best for the team, followed closely by the Rapinoe seeing-eye direct kick, and the Tobin Heath deflected shot for a own-goal vs. Sweden.

The political stuff is just noise, I personally don't see why athletes feel they need to do it since it just alienates half of the fan base anyway. I suppose I have too much respect for teammates to suck all of the air out of the room with my opinions and advocacy.

They wowed on the field but the celebrations have been grating. Virtually everyone not a USWNT supporter seems to be of the opinion they are arrogant and over the top in celebration. A few times I honestly felt they were insulting to their opponents. Rapinoe is blatantly self promoting, I have no issue with her making money as it's a short career but her shtick is getting boring. Golden Ball and Golden Boot for scoring penalties? I'd buy the Golden Ball for best player but Golden Boot should go to player who scores most in run of play not a designated penalty taker
