If 3 OL are gone by 13 there's going to be a dropper. Take him. Waddle, Parsons, whoever. Or trade down because there will be a buyer.

I'm not even high on Slater due to lack of lead in the pants. Darrisaw is...okay.

I'd also be interested in filtering out the amateur mock drafts.
        They sort by date.

He said the media buzz that Slater blocked Young, is over rated because they only went against each other for 3 plays....
That is incorrect for either the 18 or 19 seasons.

Mock drafts are rarely accurate so don’t concern yourself with others mock draft results.
Study prospects via film and make your own judgements.
Give a little credence to pundits that actually worked as an NFL team scout or in the personnel department.
The others have no more expertise than you do.

Short armed tackles get exposed in the NFL when longer pass rushers get into their chest. At 330 lbs Sewell has enough anchor to neutralize this effect. Slater may not. Just food for thought.
I agree with this take, which is why I am concerned about Slater's ability to play OT in the NFL. It is not just the short arms. Sewell's arms are only barely longer, but his anchor is superior to Slater's. That makes sense as to why one should treat Sewell differently than Slater.

I am more impressed by that analysis than I am Slater's favorable showing against one good edge rusher, which I consider to be evidence of a more anecdotal nature. That is not enough evidence of likely success against all NFL edge rushers for me to overlook the measurables for a first half of the first round selection.

The bad news is if other OT needy teams think the same way I do and do not take Slater, then it is not inconceivable that Darrisaw would not even be there for us to take at #13.

Also, Minnesota is sitting right behind us at #14 and they need an OT. It is not difficult to imagine them trading up to get ahead of us as that trade may not be all that costly. They should be able to move all the way to #10 with their pick at 3-78, which is worth exactly the difference in draft pick values on the trading chart of picks #14 and #10.

Sounds kind of Flukeresque, the way 3 OT's went before we reached for Doug...

If three OTs go before the Chargers pick - that should be a pretty good chance that Surtain or Horn will be there

take CB and figure out OT in a later round
                  don't "fluke" it up Telesco

I guess the question is, if the Big Three are Sewell, Slater and Darrishaw, would Jenkins, Little or Cosmi be a reach @#13? Maybe this year, there's a Top 4, with Jenkins at the tail end of the group...

No. Just take a CB or BPA and target Little at 47. If he's gone get a rental from Fisher or Villaneuva.

Yes, take the best CB or Edge on your board
                        target Little at 47
call Fisher and see how the achilles is doing and if need be, call Villanueva
