    One of the many reasons you NEVER take an RB at the top of the draft.
    There are plenty of guys that can be productive whilst still on their rookie deals. When they graduate to that next deal, make sure you've drafted his replacement the year before.

      I would draft LT & extend again. He set the TD record in his 6th year. The contracts are cheaper with rookies, obviously, but some individuals are too good to let go too soon.

        They don't deserve to be FO.

            maybe they need special rules just for running backs since their average nfl lifespan is 8-10 years. I say you get max 3 years on contract with no franchise tagging and eligibility for free agency after their 3rd season. Just to be fair...other players in the nfl have a 12-15 year timeline if their good.
