      - Taylor will rarely take a chance on a tight window so we will have many more 3 and outs because he won't even attempt those passes.
      - Because Taylor won't take chances, he will throw fewer interceptions than Rivers
      - Taylor will also get sacked more than Rivers as he won't pass if his receivers aren't wide open
Teach him how to throw it away legally as a play option. Rivers sucked at that. Taylor doesn't have to.

Agreed but may be longer. Chargers will be learning too, will probably have changes & additions, maybe a new QB at some point.

New QB, QB coach, no Gordon, revamped OL, OL coach & scheme, added WRs, RB, RB coach, not quite virgin OC (only used 8 games). The 2020 Chargers offense will play football differently than the 2019 LAC.
Defense/ STs won't be the same either.

Everyone is just going to have to watch & learn, including Chargers & Chargers fans.

Interesting discussion about Eckler's fantasy value with Rivers being gone.

Yahoo Fantasy’s Matt Harmon and Dalton Del Don explain why L.A’s move from Philip Rivers to Tyrod Taylor behind center will not be good for the running back’s output in 2020. Subscribe to the Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.

Ironically Hebert's best college production came from release valve throws to RB/ pump fake to RB and hit the open WR deep.

I said Eks stats would go down months ago with Rivers gone. He won't have as any receptions.

We should just not play any games. Safest that way.

                  Not sure of that.
If JJ can not stay on the field ? Without Gordon = more carries
The short pass will be more used.

If the running game is strong, if the blocking is strong, if the defense is strong, the Chargers will win with Tyrod Taylor. Some of you guys make Taylor out to be a failed QB. The truth is he is a former Pro Bowler and has lead a team to the playoffs. He's not going to carry the team, but the offense will be one of the best in the league with Taylor if everything else falls into place.

Here goes. 2020 Offensive improvement scenario

                      Positives:
                      1. Healthy Hunter Henry: huge improvement
                      2. Joshua Kelley/Justin Jackson: huge advantage over the 2019 hold out and the impostor that came back for Melvin Gordon
                      3. Mike Williams with another year under his belt: should be true NFL veteran shedding those rookie memories
                      4. Joe Reed will bring some Ekeler type unpredictability with his RB/WR abilities: Don't underestimate Lynn's creativity with these type players
                      5. KJ Hill running slants to give Keenan Allen breathers: he has sure hands and can help in a very small specific role
                      6. Removal of locker room lawyer Okung and immature Gordon will remove distractions
                      7. Bryan Bulaga: Huge improvement, enough said
                      8. Trai Turner: Huge improvement, enough said
                      9. Pouncey upgrade over what he was able to give last year
                      10. Lamp and Feeney will improve with better O-line coach, talent has always been there
                      11. Tyrod is the big negative in everyones eyes but dont ignore his positives: He will protect the ball better, he will bring and extra RB to the backfield always being a threat to run. His backup will be the same style threat allowing the Offense to focus on one style no matter whom the QB

                      Negatives
Most every other post up to this point!

I Loved Rivers but the fact is for the last ten years+ he hasn't brought what every one wants which is the Superbowl. So those thinking this would be the year were wrong again. So give this group a chance and they may surprise with a modern progressive attack.

I am looking forward to something different.

Very well stated. I am looking forward to something different as well. I appreciated Rivers, but I was ready to move on. The Chargers haven't won a division title since 2009, since LT left. As head coach, Anthony Lynn should have the freedom to build the kind of offense he wants, which wasn't possible with Rivers. Now that he has the type of QBs that fit his philosophy, it's make or break time for him. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt he knows what he's doing.

I think Campen is the biggest x factor this coming season. If he transforms the oline, this could be a completely different team.
