improve the Oline, the defensive interior & reduce the # of injuries & they'll compete for a playoff spot.

The room for error is slim for this squad.

He's not going to carry the team, but the offense will be one of the best in the league with Taylor if everything else falls into place.
Depends on what your definition of a failed QB is. He did did squeak into the playoffs one year with a 9-7 record. Of course, that same year he was asked to take a $10 million pay cut at the start of the year, benched for Nathan Peterman for lack of production during the year and then dumped by the Bills after the year. Is that a win or a lose for him?

        If indeed.

If the Chargers didn't choke the Dolphins or/and Jaguars game in 2017, or the Ravens didn't choke to the Bengals in week 17 that same year, Buffalo would not have been to the playoffs.

Tyrod Taylor lead the Bills to the playoffs? Nah, he didn't lead. He followed. Taylor only made the Pro Bowl that year because he was a replacement. Being a Pro Bowler is not that special. Bad QBs have made the Pro Bowl. That year people say he lead Buffalo to the playoffs, Taylor had games where he didn't even complete for 100 yards. You have to be a special type of bad to be doing that. For every good plays he makes, he'll make more bad ones. That was apparent in his stint with the Browns.

Stay fairly healthy. Having a position group wiped out is tough. Barring that...
Our D should be top 5, maybe top 2-3 and that's hard to keep out of the postseason as long as O & STs aren't total bottomfeeders.

well hopefully Tie-rod plays more aggressively and will launch the ball instead of thinking of the INT.

Tyrod is a physically talented QB. Pep Hamilton & Steichen will have to help him take his passing game to a higher level or his starting role won't last long.
Tyrod will start the season and should win @ Cincy.
                Vs KC, not likely.
Vs Car should be a W.
@ TB & NO, 1 W would be awesome but unexpected.
After that vs NYJ, @ Mia, vs Jax, vs LV should be winnable games.
5-4 or better at the Bye and he starts some more. Less? Hard to say when they'll pull him but if it needs to happen, do it.

This should be an interesting offense to watch, around QB Tyrod Taylor and a confident Lynn.. Most Charger fans have never seen him do more than glance the field, then run it for 3 yrds. in relief of a 15 year veteran. That's all he was required to do. Lynn boasting confidence in Tyrod must be coming from a greatly gelled OL or Lynn is subject to dismissal if that don't work out and neither does Stick. The Spanos' aren't gonna fire themselves,

Firing order...Tryod, Lynn...Stick was a non factor to begin with. Oh golly gee how the Charger public relations are still high on Stick. Stay tuned to that PR QB.

A spunky offense CAN be built around a vacuum left by a departing future HOF QB. Lynn couldn't do much last year with one. Now he has to do without one.

You only have to score 1 point more that the opponent. Odds are good that Tyrod isn't going to dazzle with his ypg passing.
The 2020 LAC offense is going to have to avoid turnovers, penalties while making drives.
Meanwhile the defense will need to get some takeaways, not allow long possessions and restrict scoring to 17 ppg avg or less.
Special teams will be required to supply quality avg field pos.
D & Sts need to add some LAC points.

Nuthin' guaranteed here but the D / STs looks to have some real upside.
We could be decent while getting Herbert up to speed.

ST’s is where this plan really starts to fall apart. We say play perfect D which will be a miracle if we do not lose any stars to injury. Then play good ST’s. It’s been 25 years since this team has played really good ST’s and with bringing back the same idiot hoping that this is the year he figures out how to coach is just asking too much and not being realistic.
