If you look at KC's passing yards last year, Chargers held Mahomes to 180 yards and 174 yards. Only 1 team held him to fewer yards last year. LAC Defense allowed 1 passing TD per game and managed 1 INT per game. The Defense is there, and only getting better.

Looks like yards-wise the bolts did better in both games. But it looks like TOs may have killed the bolts.

Corner blitz are not a good way to bring pressure. They work every once in a while, but you start to run them with any real frequency and you get lit up. The CB has a long way to go to get to the QB and few people to hide behind. So, it only really works if the QB simply doesn't see the CB. And the S has a long way to run to get over to the WR, who is an athletic mismatch in space.

I was just reading a piece about the five fastest players on the Chargers roster. No. 1 is Michael Davis, who clocked a 4.34 40 time. He's 6-2 and 200 lbs on top of that, which is why the Chargers have hung onto him, despite his mistakes (PI calls). I first really noticed Davis in the playoff game v. the Ravens. I believe Davis was assigned to be a "spy" on Lamar Jackson, and on a couple of runs when Jackson was able to reach the secondary level Davis ran him down and limited the damage.
