I understand trying to strive for balance, but no need to run just for the sake of running the ball and taking the ball out of your best player's hands. Statistically, it appears that MIA has a good defense, but one that is comparatively better versus the pass than the run (#1 in the NFL in YPA against). I would like to see us attack with a mixture of runs and short passes with slightly more runs than passes overall.

We have a decided advantage in special teams where MIA is dead last in punt coverage and net punting yardage. I have said before that usually the punting game is not all that important as it is usually a wash. That is statistically correct. However, this week may present an exception to that general rule. Also, we have an edge in FG accuracy.

IMO, we need to play ball control, ball security and field position until it hurts. We need to be patient. They are going to get some stops. Overall, they are an underrated team, but still one that we should beat if we play our game. This is almost an ideal opponent for us to play our game against.

I am expecting a close game with us winning just barely.

I disagree. Our identity and our strategy is to win the TOP battle. It's going to be vital to get a running game going to slow their blitz and Wake. I'm not saying stick with something that isn't working, but to win we need to probably have a better gameplan than we had last week. Shotgun every play isn't going to get it done. Inside handoffs from the shotgun on every run also isn't the way to gameplan for the running game. And at the same time, this OL has to step up and get some push. Guys like David Johnson, John Phillips, Green and Gates need to do their jobs.
