Exactly. Fisher always looks for the guys they want to take out. Years ago it was Merriman during a play where all the action was to the opposite side of the field. That didn't stop that douche Steward from hitting Merriman's knees from behind. Same thing with Gates a couple of weeks later. Funny how the dirtbag Fisher never does this to the 2nd stringers.

Gates took his reply to Rivers injury long before he mentioned his ribs.

Obviously Rivers will be a target from here on. Especial a focus on hitting him in the midsection as the arm is in motion. I get why that would be a consern with this online AND the way Rivers plays.
When is the QB ever not a target?

Like, how am I the target? Your team are the target.

Seriously, though, Rivers is not playing well, the offense is not playing well. It is all on tape. No secrets given away. Defenders always want to hit the QB as often and as hard as possible. Injured or not.

The whole offense looks tentative. Others have posted the reasons for it. I agree that Hardwick and Clary were huge for this line. Very. They played like line captains that kept everything in sync. Sorely missed. Then of course there's Woody.

I really hope we can run the ball consistently well with the return of Ryan. It's our only hope in my opinion.

And then there's Rivers looking like he's about to go bat-shit nuts after every drop or fall from his receiver. ha
