His ability to get the most out of an injury-ravaged roster has been noted in recent years. If he can hang tough against a talented Cowboys offense in 2020, he may find a path back to head coaching


Sounds like this is the type of coach we need. Maybe the Lions were too healthy.

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect the Spanos to hire a defensive minded HC after the Herbert revelation
and I hope not too
I would even say Beienemy and Roman are out because we’re looking at specifically qb or passing game coordinators

With a QB like Herbert Lynn is not the right fit.Heavy run, time of possession offense is not making the most of our future star.

So was Ground Chuck. Coryell was on the cutting edge. Lynn is on the trailing edge.

Yeah while i thought it was possible we would see a Greg Roman style offense with Tyrod...i dont think Herbert is a good fit in a system like that. I do like that he can thread needles between the hashes. And as we can see with Jackson he lives there. And they use a lot of TEs.

I really like Bienemy. I just think he is really behind a lot of the more innovating plays and misdirection with the RBs in KC. And that style of offense as a base would fit Herbert well.

hands down the guy eye see as the Herbert whisperer is Mike Kafka and would make him the OC.

@HC, still would like David Shaw, and if not available/possible, would go to the KC well there too w/Dave Toub.

for DC, like the suggestion to go outside the box w/Brent Venables, albeit if he's not leaving, do like Kris Richard as DC.

the Chargers need to outbid for Kafka.... getting him is key, and dollars are most always the difference maker.
