Could Herbert, Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa be the best trio

of QB's drafted since Elway, Marino and Jim Kelly were all drafted in the 1983 draft? I know it's early to make that call but so far from what I have seen from both Herbert and Burrow they both look like they can be special players and now that Tua is going to be the Dolphins starter now we'll get to see how he does. There's also Jordan Love who some people were very high on but we most likely won't hear anything from him as far as starting for atleast a few years. I'll still take Herbert over both of them though.

Why not Rivers, Eli and Ben? Jackson, Mahomes and Watson are solid as well.

Also you started this thread in the members section. A pretty common occurrence with you. lol You drunk posting?

        I mean, anything is possible.

But no, they are not and will not be the best trio since '83.

Really big shoes to fill, considering the two trios Fleet already mentioned. Herbert has looked really good in 4 games so far. Burrow looks solid for a rookie, and Tua hasn't even begun yet. Projecting all 3 to be future HOFers at this point requires a huge leap of faith.

Too early for this year's crop, but they look good so far......

          1. Elway, Marino, and kelly are by far the best of all time as a group.....
          2. Rivers, Manning, and Big Ben are clearly 2nd...... but well above all others...

Mahomes looks great so far ...... but Jackson and Watson are NOT great passers since they lack accuracy consistency(both look great one week and are way off target in the next) and their play styles will likely result in short careers for both.....

Wasn't Jackson drafted in a different year than Mahomes and Watson?

That does ruin the discussion re: the 2017 draft class. Unless you want to add DeShone Kizer?:runaway:

Maybe,....but it's way too early to be discussing this. Will still be hard to top the 2004 draft with Eli,Ben and Philip.

I don't think Love will be anything special and he won't be playing anytime soon either.

Hmm so what's more important superbowl wins or superbowl appearances? I would say just getting there is just as important as wins. Now it was unfortunate for the Bills and Donkey's to play against the best teams in the 80's with 49ers and in the 90's the cowboys. If the Donkey's or Bills play any other team they most likely win those games. Oh can't forget the Redskins or Giants either.

IF Rivers the class of 04 could get a SB win with Indy I would put the 04 group ahead of the 83 class. The 83 class only Super Bowl winner is Elway (2) , but if some how Rivers could get one that would be Big Ben (2) and Manning (2) and all three of them will be in the Hall of Fame.
