Been living through all the Harbaugh talk up here in Norcal, what a stupid move by the niners.

Classic situation where the organization has a little success and both the GM and HC want all the credit. Let's face it, Harbaugh took the same players that Singletary had and took them to the Superbowl. GM thinks he deserves more credit for his "player moves", which were pedistrian. Now they are going to go 10-6 next year (while they still remember what Harbaugh taught them about winning - Norv's first year) and lose early in the playoffs and then they tank and miss the playoffs for 3 years, while the talent drains away (Norv's last few years).

Meanwhile Harbaugh (who is a total asshole, true enough) will go somewhere else and succeed.

Would hate it if he went to Oakland, he would make them into a contender, pretty quickly too.
