    Herbert 4 Watson Plus Picks!

Would you trade JH for DeShawn Watson, two 1st rounders, and a 3rd?

To make sure I understand your question, you are proposing that the Chargers send Justin Herbert to the Texans and in exchange receive Deshaun Watson, two 1st rounders, and a 3rd? If so, yes I make that trade. The two 1st and one 3rd round pick tend to offset the high value of Watson's contract so the trade boils down to Herbert's potential in exchange for Watson, a young top 5 QB. Again, yes I make that trade.

I wouldn’t trade Herbert for Watson straight up. But Watson with multiple picks which will likely be top 5...you’d have to consider that.

Agree. No way after JH broke all those records. Now if we are MIA, the trade makes sense.

Fleet, can you make it so this thread automatically resurfaces every year on January 30th?
It’ll be interesting at the very least.

Watson is really good. But he takes a lot of sacks. I think Herberts best production came under duress. Makes having a lesser OL not look like such a problem. They really tried to spend heavy on that OL in Houston. And he still holds onto the ball longer than he should. Takes a lot of sacks.

I just like Herbert better if the OL is going to be average. The thought of Herbert actually having a stud left side and time to throw from the pocket? Scary. Because he may have the best deep ball in the game at this point.

I just think Herbert is going to be a better fit for us. And will take a beating due to his size. I also expect to see some Taysom type run plays out of him. Use his size and strength to score on QB designed runs.

I think Herbert can do everything Watson can. I dont feel like Watson will be able to do everything Herbert will.

Its like asking me if i would rather have Josh Allen or Watson. Id probably go with Allen. The extra draft picks are nice. But i like that hes on a rookie contract. Our window is now.

The new coach called Herbert right after his wife and he may have just been saying that. He might have called Herbert first. Could not be more married to this qb

WoW that is a serious offer.

Yet honestly I feel Herbert is untradeable. He is a generational talent that with a solid coaching staff and Oline could bring us multiple Championships. Hell you never know!!!! He's faster than Brady ever was. Taller. More intelligent. More mobile. I honestly feel the sky is the limit for this kid. It's like destiny playing out in real life. Goes to his favorite college as a 4 year starter. THEN goes to his childhood favorite team. Who does that? Who lucks out like that?. Seriously what are the odds? Talk about being born under a lucky star...
