Hard to compare from such different generations. Can you imagine what Air Coryell would do with todays rules so stacked against the D?

I agree with Rich. But I would say that Mahomes is far more talented than Fouts.

If Myhommie played in the Fouts era he would not last a season. No way he could do that much with the rules the way they were then.

Still, I’d have to say Mahomes et al.

You left out the best PURE football player in the bunch - save maybe Mahomes
            John Jefferson.

Maybe its time or his playing only a few years but that guy was the best PURE WR I have seen - granted it was three years. Dude was incredible those few years with Fouts

So for me its Fouts, Winslow and Jefferson. And when Travis Kelce gets called for as many OPIs as Winslow does - then we can talk. Winslow got more OPIs than any TE based on his size/speed for the day.

Those two throws Mahomes made to the endzone as he was going down are just sick. The one, he was horizontal, completely off the ground and he almost completed both. I have never seen a QB like him. Never.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Only guy close to making throws like Mahomes was John Elway. And Elway made throws different from Mahomes but just saying - until Mahomes, nobody could make throws like Elways. Mahomes does it differently but unique.

Back in the day, they might have made Mahomes a WR. I think he would be fine as a pocket passer though, but the comparison might be with Elway or Steve Young. Staubach was also pretty mobile for a QB, but no one has been as accurate as Mahomes under duress.

                    Mahomes-HIll-Kelce.

The speed of the game is so much different today and Mahomes is probably the best quarterback I've seen.

My point is he could not take the hits from that era. There were not all of those QB protection rules back then.
