The Trai contract flexibility was part of the decision to make the trade.

Also, Okung wanted out of here, remember ?

I’ll be stunned if we get anything for him.

What do you mean? The team saves $11.5 million. That's getting something back alright. LOL!

Me too...like peddling a pair of used old shoes at the swap meet...and one of those shoes is missing the shoelaces...

Being shopped as a 5-time Pro Bowl starting guard.
              We'll get something for him.

Maybe you get a 2022 conditional 6th rd pick that move up a rd if he plays 75 percent of snaps.
Who has it better than us?

Why trade for him when you can sign him to a much better contract after we cut him in a few days?

Well the team trading for him does get his rights so they think its worth flipping a future 6th rounder for. But you are right - his deal is probably getting re-done in whatever scenario.

If you think he can comeback and play at a high level and he’s willing to renegotiate, then just keep him and get a better deal.

Right. I think the 31 other GMs can see that Turner's salary for this year guarantees that he will get cut. I mean we are arguably the most OL needy team in the entire league and we are trying to get rid of him. The situation does not exactly convey the message that is Turner is worthy of any sort of significant trade consideration.

It is right for us to try, but the writing in this situation appears to be already on the wall.

When there is no trade interest in Turner and we cut him, teams can just offer what, if anything, they feel comfortable with offering, which will certainly be far less than $11.5M.
