This is going nowhere, despite our dreams of Dean being forced to sell.

I see the sisters point. Most of the money is locked up until the team is sold, in which case she would get a huge windfall.

In the meantime, other than a Jet for her brothers to showboat around in and extravagant expense accounts, they are probably only generating meager profits.

Plus, it’s only Dean’s sons with cushy high ranking jobs with the Chargers who wouldn’t be employed there other than nepotism.

she’s getting old and wants her payday. I thought they had an informal agreement to sell the team in the near future too.

I'd be eststic to get new ownership. I wonder if Ballmer would like to own a football and a basketball team in the same City.

Dean Spanos sued by sister, accused of 'misogynistic' behavior as legal battle continues over control of Los Angeles Chargers (espn.com)

I remember reading back in the day that Dean was given control of the team because of lineage in the family - or partly the reason

It does seem Dea is corroborating that a bit

The Chargers franchise is going to be severely hamstrung financially while it is owned by the Spanos family with the way the ownership is structured under the family trust and Dean's sister repeatedly suing him. It's going to be interesting when it comes time to pay Herbert.

It won’t affect us paying Herbert since the salary cap is separate from this and is its own pool.

Edit: also I don’t see any financial lawsuit dinging Dean’s purse since the NFL will force it into arbitration.
